La-Z-Boy Young Designer Contest 2024 : Interviewing participants on how they feel about sitting in a La-Z-Boy.

The La-Z-Boy Young Designer Contest 2024 has officially concluded under the theme “Comfort Function and Space Design Creativity: Inspired by La-Z-Boy” organized by Globiz Venture Co., Ltd., the distributor of La-Z-Boy reclining sofas from the United States, in collaboration with the Thailand Interior Designers’ Association (TIDA). The contest offered prizes including a La-Z-Boy recliner and cash rewards, totaling over 170,000 baht. The contest was open for submissions from August 13, 2024, until the results and awards were announced on October 5, 2024.

On Saturday, October 5, 2024, the awards ceremony saw not only the participating students but also esteemed experts from the Thailand Interior Designers’ Association (TIDA), university professors of the participating students, family members, and friends who came to cheer for the contestants. This made the event lively and filled with smiles. On this occasion, the brand also took the opportunity to gather interviews from attendees about their experiences after sitting in the La-Z-Boy recliners and sofas.

 Family Members of Contest Participants: 

Person 1:  "Oh, I want to take it home! It’s comfortable, convenient, and supports the back perfectly. Everything is just right! "

Person 2:  "It feels really comfortable and super soft! "

Person 3:  "It feels like falling onto a thick, soft mattress. Very cozy. "

 Contest Participants: 

Person 1:  "It’s very comfortable. The materials used are also great! "

Person 2:  "Extremely comfortable, every single one. I felt like I could fall asleep in any of them. "

Person 3:  "So soft! I love it! I’ve loved it since the first time I came to research. It’s just great—so soft and cozy. "

 University Professor: 

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chumphon Murapan, King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang:  "I love it! This is the recliner of my dreams. I’ll have to get one or two because it’s just so incredibly comfortable."

 Judging Panel: 

Worapong Manupipatpong, Co-Founder of Atelier 2+:  "This chair is incredibly comfortable. I believe anyone who tries it will feel like they’re being absorbed into it, sinking deep into the seat."

 Award Winner: 

Piyapat Sookdee, Chulalongkorn University::  "When I sat in the La-Z-Boy chair, I felt that having such a comfortable chair during a trip would be fantastic."
